How Do You Take Turmeric?

Because of all the different types of autoimmune disorders out there, it's hard to find an exact dosage that will work for everyone. That being said, a good base dose is 600 mg daily.

This should be broken into three separate doses, taken in the morning, afternoon, and before bed.

Turmeric is typically taken in tablet or capsule form. Turmeric does not have any significant side effects and can be taken safely everyday.

Take the 600 mg dose for at least three to four weeks before deciding whether or not you need to increase dosage. You may increase the dosage all the way up to four 500mg doses daily for a total of 2000 turmeric daily.

This might be necessary to get full turmeric health benefits for more serious autoimmune disorders, such as multiple sclerosis. Although turmeric is safe, it is not recommended for people with gall bladder problems. People taking blood thinners need to consult their doctors before taking turmeric due to possible interactions.
